The first Aston Martin automobile was built in the United Kingdom in 1915. The company's first sale to a U.S. customer wasn't until 1950, which later established Aston Martin Lagonda North America in1964. The Ford Motor Company purchased Aston Martin in 1994 which became known as Ford's Premier Automotive Group, which included Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo. Aston Martin was sold to a group of investors in 2007.
